Murphy Brown

The Murphy Brown TV show was a 30 minute comedy series about a female news broadcaster for a national television network. She has a huge career with a temper and an ego to match! The program usually centered around her difficulty in dealing with co-workers, family and friends. She also had a child out of wedlock on the show which drew harsh remarks from then Vice-President Dan Quail for the sinking morality of the television industry. The series "fired back" at Quail the following season in an episode about his mis-spelling of the word "Potato" (He spelled it "Potatoe").
