Monk

The Monk TV show is a 60 minute crime drama series with a comedy twist about a former San Francisco police detective whose wife was murdered. As a result, he developed an extreme obsessive-compulsive disorder and several phobias which were the reason why he was put on psychiatric leave from the police department. He still, however, retained the abilities that made him a top detective. He has a photographic memory and an uncanny sense of how little, seemingly unrelated clues can be tied together to solve a crime. He hired a private nurse to help him function in public and, together with a friend, he works as a private detective and investigates crimes that the police haven't been able to solve.
