THE INTERNS

The Interns was a medical drama that ran from 1970-1971 and focussed on the lives of five medical professionals in a busy city hospital. More serious than the 1990s series Chicago Hope and ER, The Interns attempted to tackle some of the major issues of the time, such as the prejudice encountered by a black doctor. Dr. Peter Goldstone ( Broderick Crawford) heads up the group of six interns, which include a young black doctor, a young newly married doctor, two swinging single bachelors, and a lone female doctor. Also starring Christopher Stone, Mike Farrell, Stephen Brooks, Hal Frederick, Sandra Smith, Skip Homeier and Elaine Giftos.
