The Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman TV show was a 30 minute comedy series. It was a satirical spoof of daytime soap operas, following the never-ending horrors in the life of an everyday American housewife including her sighting of UFOs, her adultery with a cop, her father the "flasher", her husband's impotency, her daughter's kidnapping by a mass murderer, and her sister the "swinger".
