The original HOWDY DOODY SHOW ran from 1948-1960 and had such an impact on the first generation of American children raised on television that it was resurrected in 1976 as THE NEW HOWDY DOODY SHOW. Buffalo Bob Smith reprises his role as host to the freckle-faced marionette as they serve up games, songs, skits, and moral lessons.
